At Party Expert, the fun stops at your data. We never sell your personal information, and we only send you emails or texts if you asked for them. Your payment is encrypted end to end, and you can update, export, or delete your data anytime. We follow Quebec Law 25 and PIPEDA, the strictest Canadian privacy standards, so you always know exactly how your information is used and who it is shared with.

Groupe Party Expert Inc. ("Party Expert," "we," "us," or "our") is committed to protecting the privacy of individuals who visit and use party-expert.com and our related services. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, disclose, and safeguard your personal information in accordance with Quebec's Act respecting the protection of personal information in the private sector (Law 25), Canada's Personal Information Protection and Electronic Documents Act (PIPEDA), and Canada's Anti-Spam Legislation (CASL).

Automated Processing and Personalization
We use automated processes to personalize your experience on our website. This includes behavioral segmentation through Klaviyo to send targeted email and SMS communications based on your browsing and purchase history, product recommendations generated through our quiz and recommendation tools, and personalized advertising based on your on-site activity. These automated processes do not produce decisions that have a significant legal or similarly significant effect on you. Behavioral Remarketing and Your Advertising Choices
We use remarketing services to advertise to you after you have visited our website. Our advertising partners use cookies and similar technologies to recognize your device, measure and analyze traffic, show you advertisements for our products on third-party websites and apps, and measure the performance of our campaigns. We may share hashed email addresses or other online identifiers with these partners to enable them to recognize you and deliver ads across devices and browsers.
Beyond the cookie consent controls described in our Cookies Policy, you can limit interest-based advertising through the following tools:

Do Not Track
Our website does not currently respond to Do Not Track (DNT) signals sent by browsers, as there is no universally accepted standard for how these signals should be interpreted. We do however support the cookie consent controls described in our Cookies Policy, which allow you to manage your tracking preferences directly.
Email and SMS Communications (CASL)
All commercial electronic messages sent by Party Expert, including promotional emails and SMS messages, comply with Canada's Anti-Spam Legislation (CASL). We will only send you promotional communications if you have provided express or implied consent as defined under CASL. You may withdraw your consent at any time by clicking the unsubscribe link in any email, replying STOP to any SMS, or contacting us at info@party-expert.com. Unsubscribe requests are processed within 10 business days. Note that standard message and data rates from your mobile carrier may apply to SMS communications. Withdrawing consent from promotional communications does not affect the delivery of transactional messages related to your orders.
Disclosure of Your Information
We do not sell your personal information. We may share it with the following parties:
- Service providers acting as data processors, including Shopify, Klaviyo, Gorgias (customer support and live chat), Algolia, Sezzle, Judge.me, LoyaltyLion, Triple Whale, and RevenueHunt, all bound by confidentiality and data processing agreements and permitted to use your information only to perform services on our behalf
- Payment processors for secure transaction handling, including Shopify Payments, Stripe, Moneris, PayPal, and Sezzle, all of which adhere to PCI DSS standards for the secure handling of payment information
- Shipping carriers to fulfill your orders
- Advertising platforms for retargeting and lookalike audience creation (Meta, Google, TikTok, Pinterest), subject to your cookie consent
- Analytics services for website performance analysis
- Legal and regulatory authorities when required by law, court order, or valid requests by public authorities, or where disclosure is necessary in good faith to comply with a legal obligation, protect and defend our rights or property, prevent or investigate possible wrongdoing in connection with the website, protect the personal safety of users or the public, or protect against legal liability
- Business successors in the event of a merger, acquisition, financing, or asset sale, in which case we will provide notice before your personal information is transferred and becomes subject to a different privacy policy
All third-party processors operating outside Canada must provide equivalent privacy protections. We maintain data processing agreements with all processors.
Your Rights

We may ask you to verify your identity before responding to your request. We will respond within 30 days.
Data Retention
We retain personal information for as long as necessary to fulfill the purposes for which it was collected, to comply with our legal obligations, resolve disputes, and enforce our agreements:
- Order and transaction records: 7 years (Quebec tax law)
- Customer accounts: until account deletion is requested, plus 12 months
- Marketing communication preferences: until unsubscribe, plus 3 years
- Analytics data: 26 months
- Security and fraud logs: 2 years
Data Security
We implement industry-standard technical and organizational measures to protect your personal information, including SSL/TLS encryption for all data in transit, PCI DSS-compliant payment processing, access controls limited to authorized personnel, and regular security assessments. However, no method of transmission over the Internet or method of electronic storage is completely secure, and while we strive to use commercially reasonable means to protect your personal information, we cannot guarantee its absolute security.
In the event of a privacy breach that presents a risk of serious injury to individuals, we will notify affected individuals and the relevant authority (CAI in Quebec, or the Office of the Privacy Commissioner at the federal level) without undue delay, and within 72 hours where required by law.
Children's Privacy
Our website is not directed at children under the age of 14. We do not knowingly collect personal information from minors without the consent required by law. If you are a parent or guardian and believe a child has provided us with their personal information without appropriate consent, please contact us immediately at info@party-expert.com and we will take steps to delete that information promptly.
Cross-Border Data Transfers
Groupe Party Expert Inc. is based in Quebec, Canada. Some of our service providers process data outside of Quebec and Canada, which means your information may be transferred to and maintained on servers located in jurisdictions where data protection laws may differ from those of your jurisdiction. Where personal information is transferred outside Quebec, we conduct privacy impact assessments and ensure that adequate contractual protections are in place consistent with the requirements of Law 25, so that your data receives protection equivalent to what it would receive in Quebec.
