đș DIY Hanging Pom-Pom Decor Using Tablecloths

Â
âïž What Youâll Need:
-
1â2 plastic tablecloths (any color â a standard 54" x 108" size works best)
-
Scissors
-
Ruler or measuring tape
-
Twist ties, floral wire, or zip ties
-
String or clear fishing line for hanging
đ Instructions:
1. Cut the Tablecloth Into Strips
-
Unfold your plastic tablecloth completely.
-
Cut it into rectangles about 20" x 26" in size. Youâll need 8â10 layers per pom-pom. -
For a fuller look like the image, aim for 10â12 sheets.
-
Pro tip: Stack and cut multiple layers at once to save time.

-
2. Stack and Accordion Fold
-
Stack all the rectangles neatly.
-
Fold them accordion-style (like a fan), about 1.5â wide folds.
3. Secure the Center
-
Tie a twist tie, floral wire, or zip tie around the center of the folded stack.
-
Leave a few inches of wire/string to attach your hanging string later.
4. Trim the Edges
-
Cut both ends of the accordion into a rounded or pointed shape for a petal-like look. -
Rounded gives a softer bloom; pointed creates more definition.

-
5. Fluff It Out
-
Gently separate and pull each layer toward the center one by one.
-
Be patientâplastic can cling or resist more than tissue paper.
-
Fluff both sides evenly to form a smooth, rounded shape.
6. Attach Hanging String
-
Tie a clear fishing line or colorful ribbon to the center wire.
-
Hang from the ceiling, tree branches, or balloon arches.

đDIY Pineapple Snack CupsÂ

đ ïž Materials Youâll Need:
-
Green cardstock or construction paper
-
Scissors
-
Glue dots or tape
-
Hole punch (optional)
-
Snacks (popcorn, trail mix, tropical candy, dried fruit, etc.)
âïž Step-by-Step Instructions:
1. Cut Out the Pineapple Crown
-
Take your green cardstock and cut out spiky leaf shapes, similar to a pineapple top.
-
Each crown should be about 4â5 inches tall and wide enough to sit on top of your cup.
-
You can fold the paper in half before cutting to make symmetrical shapes.
-
Pro Tip: Cut multiple at once by stacking your paper!
2. Optional: Punch a Straw Hole
-
If you're using the cups for drinks or want to add a straw, punch a small hole in the center of the green crown before attaching.
3. Attach the Crown to the Cup
-
Place the green paper crown over the top rim of the yellow cup so that it resembles pineapple leaves peeking out.
-
Secure it with a glue dot, tape on the inner rim, or even rest it lightly on top if it fits snugly.
4. Add the Snacks
-
Fill the cups with snacks of your choiceâbuttery popcorn, fruit gummies, dried pineapple, or gold-wrapped candies all work beautifully!
5. Optional: Decorate the Cup
-
Use a brown marker to draw diagonal lines across the yellow cup for extra pineapple texture.
-
Add stickers, name tags, or mini flags for a personal touch.
