Form: Contact Lenses
FORM: THEATRICAL AND COSMETIC COLOURED CONTACT LENSES
A good personal hygiene is very important for contact lens users. The guidelines must be clear and people must follow them meticulously in order to prevent infection, irritation and eye damage. Wash and rinse thoroughly your hands with antibacterial soap and clean water before handling the lenses.
Instructions for use
You should never keep your lenses on while sleeping or swimming. This greatly increases the possibilities of infection and irritation.
As a precaution to prevent potential infections, avoid interchanging the lenses from one eye to the other.
**Never share your lenses with someone else.
Instructions for care
We recommend the use of a solution made especially for cleaning and maintaining your contact lenses. Never use saline solution or tap water.
A case is essential to keep your lenses.
Before handling, wash your hands thoroughly. Remove the lens from the case and place it in the palm of your hand. Pour a drop of solution on the lens and gently rub the lens with your finger to clean it.
Position the lens on the tip of your finger and pull your lower eyelid down with the index of the other hand. Look up and position the lens on the white part of the eye. Then look down and the lens will rotate on your pupil. Repeat the same procedure for the other eye.
Before placing your lenses in the case, discard the used solution (it must never be reused). Rinse the case with tap water and dry it with a clean cloth or let it air dry. The case must be dry when not using. It is recommended to change your case once a month.
To remove the lens, slide it on the white part of the eye and squeeze it gently. Then, place the lens in the case and fill with solution. Repeat the same procedure for the other eye.
Should you feel any pain or have redness in your eye, stop using the lenses immediately and consult your eye specialist.
Important note: Theatrical lenses are designed for occasional use and will last more than a year if you follow the above mentioned directions.
Coloured cosmetic lenses are designed for daily use and will last approximately 3 months if you follow the above mentioned directions.
Although these lenses have a medium base curvature that fits most people, we recommend that you consult an eye specialist for updates and clarifications.
